You can create many different type of icon boxes with the theme. The easiest solution is to use the Icon shortcode and insert it directly to section title. For more advanced stuff there are Content Modules. They can be set up as icon boxes with predefined, Retina-ready icons (you can upload and use your own set of icons if you want) or you can upload any icon image (when using appropriate icon size, they are also Retina-ready; several different icon packs are packed with the theme).
Icon boxes can be set to display in default or centered layout and it is possible to set up a background color for the icons.
